Word Wizards

In Word Wizards today we carried on with our work on inference skills. This is when we read together, look for clues in the text and think deeply to answer questions.

We were able to work out (or infer) that the boy in the story went to an old, ruined castle. When he lifted a weathered stone there, he discovered a cold object. The top three suggestions for the object were: an ancient key; an diamond sword and a jewel.

Choose one of the objects and think about what might happen next in the story. Tell someone at home or school your ideas.
