Y4 Homework Project, SEPTEMBER 2017 – Enigmatic Egyptians
Following on from
our great trip to the Tutankhamun Exhibition in Dorchester we wanted to launch
the Y4 homework project for this term.
We would like the children to choose and
create one of the following:
An Egyptian Death
Mask (we are all familiar with the one pictured right of Tutankhamun)
They can use
paint, clay, fabric, cardboard… indeed anything that they can think of – it can be 2D or 3D…there are no rules!
OR
Their very own
Egyptian sarcophagus in which they can hide their own valuables (this is
following on from our art work and some children wanted to make their own real
life sarcophagus for their precious things). Again they can use paint, clay,
fabric, cardboard… indeed anything that they can think of – there are no rules!
Below are a few
examples of real life sarcophagi for a bit of inspiration but we want their
minds to run wild!
Please hand in your
homework project on Monday 16th October ready for our Egypt day on
the 18th.
We will be holding an
‘Eyptian Day’ on Wednesday 18th October where their amazing
creations will be on display!
Don’t forget – if you have a
show box or boxes, please bring them in next week!
