Meet oak class snails . . .

YThe snails in Oak Class had a very good holidays and were busy producing lots of babies too!

Word and number challenge!

We thought we would try to find the longest word and biggest number in our classroom as an extension to the Summer Sizzler challenge. We had fun exploring our classroom and used globes, book covers and drawer labels to help us in our quest.
We were lucky to have Mrs Dike in our classroom to help us with finding out how to read a 20 digit number. This was a huge challenge.

Amazing summer sizzlers!

Thank you so much for those of you who completed some Great work over the holidays. We are still sharing some of the REALLY long words and numbers. We all love looking at books being read up in trees, in France on a carousel, and at Sealife to mention just a few.

Move A Mountain....

Today we introduced Oh The Places You'll Go by Dr Seuss. It's a great book about facing challenges and being the best that you can be. The story ends with encouraging the children to move mountains.....and why not!
