Great instruction writing to catch a troll!

Fantastic writing from everyone - we definitely will catch any troll that might appear in the neighbourhood!  We had fun acting the play of the three bully goats gruff before beginning to write. There was great use of thesaurus' and purple pens.

Oak class supporting Mexico

We are continuing to keep supporting our class team of Mexico and Mrs Yarwood's team too.

Our special places

In preparation for our trip to the church next week we talked about the importance of special places in our lives and how they make us feel.

The World Cup comes to Oak class

We started the week by choosing a country to follow during the tournament.

Welcoming our adopted animals

We were so excited to get a package in the post from
Marwell Zoo. Inside were our adoption certificates for the 6 animals we had raised money to adopt. There were oohs and aaahs as we unpacked the box and the soft toys of Indeeva the snow leopard,  Wendy the Pygmy hippo and the other animals appeared. We are so excited that we are able to support endangered animals in this way.

Self portraits . . . Let them begin!

As part of our art this term we are going to painting our own self-portraits. We asked Mr Lavis to share his expertise in this area to give us some tips. We have just begun work on our outlines so far.

Violin performance

We enjoyed a violin performance from Maya showing us what she has learnt so far this term. It sounded lovely - well done!
