Word Wizards

In Word Wizards we were learning about explaining our reasons for the choices we make. We used drama, imagining that we were 'in charge' and able to choose bedtimes!

Think about the reasons why you are not allowed to stay up late. Explain your reasons to someone at home or school.

Oak class treat!

We had great fun with scooters, ping pong, a playdough bake off and even Mrs Peterson trying her best at Just Dance! Well done everybody it was a fun afternoon you deserve for working hard as a whole class even when it isn't always easy.

Reviewing time . . .

We worked hard at reviewing hours, minutes and working out different time problems . Do keep trying to use your clocks at home whenever you can. 

Willow Class Treat

The children have worked really hard over the last 10 weeks to fill the pasta jar and earn their class treat.... Which they selected as a pyjama party, film and biscuits. It was fab!

Eurostar visits Poland

We are not noting learning about Poland this week. Well done to our Polish speakers for helping us learn our numbers.

Discovering the Ultimate Bubble Mix

The children planned and carried out an experiment to identify the perfect mix of water and fairy liquid to make the ultimate bubble mix. We did lots of learning but also had lots of fun!

Word Wizards

We were set a challenge in Word Wizards today! We had to link our two drama sketches by showing how much time had passed between them. We used speech to do this.

Think about the different words which link with time. Tell someone at home or school as many as you can. Good luck!

Oak class voting

Oak class took their decision on what party to vote for very seriously and the whole voting process. 

Visit from Pat Osbourne

Labour candidate for North Dorset, Pat Osbourne, kindly gave up his time to come and speak to Year 4 on Thursday. The children had come up with some fantastic questions about the election process and why Pat wanted to be an MP. They were genuinely interested in what Pat had to say and who knows - have we got the next PM in Year 4!
