Samba progress
The samba learning practice is going well. We are busy practising our different instruments we will play in our concert.
Well done to the bunting winners
A great effort with the bunting homework! Congratulations to the children who won Inspire points and book vouchers for the book fair!
Magnificent mosaics
Well done for completing amazing mosaics which took a lot if patience. It was great to see how the designs came out omlife once the mosaics were finished.

What do settlers need?
As a introduction to our topic On Our Doorstep and Beyond we looked at where Shaftesbury is on a map and what things are needed to start a successful settlement. Great discussions everyone, we are looking forward to building on this knowledge over the next few weeks.
Oak class treat
Well done Oak class for filling our shapes bowl for great effort as a class. We enjoyed our ice creams and playing with all the different games that were brought in f on home.
Fantastic Samba composing
Our samba learning is going so well that this week we made our own compositions about the Romans.

Orienteering
Today we looked at what Orienteering means and how to 'orientate' ourselves with maps. We started with a birds eye view of the classroom followed by a map of the school. Next week the children have to find sets of markers using their map skills.
